Soundskrit is a deep tech startup which developed the first high-performance directional MEMS microphone on the market, leveraging years of research in bio-inspired MEMS based on how spiders and other insects in nature hear. In combination with Soundskrit’s in-house audio processing algorithms, directional microphones can be used to capture and isolate any sound in an environment with a fraction of the size, power, and computation of traditional omnidirectional-based microphone arrays.
Our proprietary transducer has a radically new design so that our microphone can exhibit high directionality despite their small size without the sacrifices required by traditional, array-based solutions. Our AI solutions take advantage of the extra information granted by these directional microphones to achieve performance and features unique to Soundskrit. Our directional MEMS microphones bring next-generation voice capture to wireless audio, webcams, conferencing devices, augmented reality headsets and many more applications where clear voice capture is critical.

In many cases, our positions require you to work in-person at either our Ann Arbour, Michigan office or our headquarters in Montreal, Quebec.
